The situation has worsened after the overthrowing of Sheikh Hasina’s government.
New Delhi: Attacks on minorities living in Bangladesh have intensified since the overthrow of the Sheikh Hasina government. Hindus are being targeted once again since the arrest of Hindu religious leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu on 25 November while the Hindus demanding the release of Chinmoy Das are being attacked.
Chinmay Das was arrested from Dhaka airport. His bail application was rejected by the Chittagong court. Chinmay Das has been charged with sedition. His bail plea is scheduled to be heard on December 3.
Chinmoy Das, one of the foremost voices of minorities in Bangladesh, especially Hindus, was also associated with ISKCON. The Indian government has also expressed concern over the arrest of Chinmoy Das and attacks on Hindus.
But in the midst of all this, now another new threat is increasing. Intelligence reports have revealed that fundamentalists associated with the terrorist organization named Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) are targeting Hindus.
The intelligence report has revealed that the Hindus who have taken to the streets demanding the release of Chinmay Das are being selectively targeted by the JMB terrorists.
The situation has worsened after the overthrowing of Sheikh Hasina’s government. Even Hindus in Bangladesh’s jails are not safe. Intelligence reports suggest that Hindus inside and outside the jail are being targeted by JMB terrorists.
After the fall of the Hasina government, more than 700 prisoners escaped from jails. Most of them were JMB terrorists. Now these terrorists are coming out and attacking Hindus on the streets. There are hundreds of thousands of terrorists in jail who can target Hindu prisoners.
