Normally, the quarterback is responsible for purchasing splashy holiday presents for the group that protects his literal and figurative behind each year. But with a huge salary disparity between QB Brock Purdy and running back Christian McCaffrey, the veteran back bought Christmas gifts for the offense this year. “Financially, I wouldn’t be able to cover that right now,” Purdy said when asked about the presents at a Friday press conference. “Shoutout to him. Everyone loved it, so thank you, Christian.”
