Quiet luxury is dead! Henceforth, we will only be taking calls from the flashy stuff. If it’s not an ear cuff, a brooch, stacked rings, or body jewelry, then we don’t want to know about it. This fall, jewelry is all about getting comfy with going big or going TF home.
This means that frosting your neck, wrist, and fingers alone won’t do—you need a chainmail bra! A pin in an unexpected location! A cuff around your ear! For those of you who are already feeling like “sweet, but truthfully I’d rather not,” then spend some time with the pearl trend, which goes great with a classic crewneck sweater (hey, classic combos are classic for a reason). Wait! You might even be able to borrow a few pieces from Nana?!
Since these jewelry trends go nicely with, um, a full outfit, may we recommend that you also spend some time with Cosmo’s fall trend report? There, you can learn and shop the biggest trends across clothing, shoes, and bags.
Ear Cuffs, All the Way Up
Allow me to introduce you to “earscaping.” Like landscaping, but, you know, for your ears. For fall, we’re styling our lovely lobes and helices to the nines. Ideal for anyone with only a modest collection of piercings, the ear cuff is a low-stakes way to stay on trend…but it can also be used as tool to help decide if you want to fully commit to another hole. Just saying.

Body(-ody-ody) Jewelry
Why should necks, fingers, ears, and wrists have all the fun? Bedeck those torsos with jewelry too, per this fall trend forecast. What’s stopping you from wearing a bunch of chains instead of a shirt under a suit? Or wearing a delicate lil something-something over a plain tee? Nothing, that’s what.

Stacked (!!!) Rings
Get yourself a ring—the bolder the better. Now, pair it with a bunch more bling with the same kinda energy. You’re now executing one of fall’s most maximalist jewelry trends: ring stacking. Congrats! Seriously, one ring does not rule them all. In this case, the more the merrier. And don’t feel the need to stick to just one metal type. Mix and match until you have a situation that feels eclectic but intentional. It’s a fine line, but I know you can walk it.

Pearls on Pearls
Get ready to clutch ’em, because pearls are about to be even more popular than they’ve been over the past few years (and they’ve been pretty ubiquitous as it is!). We’re talking pearl-encrusted everything (just look at those shades) and pearls in all the classic places: necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, of course!

Brooches, My Dear
I’m dead serious: Brooches are making a comeback and if you’re giving them side-eye, just know I’m giving it right back at you. Because brooches are cool! They add so much to any outfit and they’re extremely versatile. Embellish a plain jacket with a cluster of them, add interest to a skirt with a couple, show your affinity for a particular hobby (how cute is that guitar one below?) with one you wear every day. There are lots of times an outfit just doesn’t work with a necklace or body jewelry, but it still needs something. Brooches are that something. Let’s all just agree to agree.
