The third-gen version of the Carnival MPV made its debut in India back in 2020. However, in the same year, the people mover had entered a new generation in other foreign markets, while Kia India continued to offer the previous-gen version here. Kia finally debuted the new-gen Carnival in India earlier this year at the 2023 Auto Expo as the KA4, hinting that the launch is imminent.
However, the car showcased at the Expo in January was the pre-facelifted version, but Kia will be bringing the new 2024 Carnival facelift to the Indian market, in all likelihood. That said, the new Kia Carnival is expected to arrive in India next year.
The new Kia Carnival is expected to be offered here with the same 2.2-litre diesel engine as before, putting out 199 hp power and 440 Nm torque with a standard 8-speed automatic gearbox. The 2024 Kia Carnival is expected to be pricier than before, and will continue to serve as a more premium alternative to the Toyota Innova Crysta and Hycross.
