For Tyson Fury’s comeback fight he out-weighed his opponent by four stone and picked him up on stage

Tyson Fury had a huge size advantage over his opponent when he made his comeback in 2018.

After three years out of the ring due to suffering with mental health issues after beating Wladimir Klitschko to become the unified heavyweight world champion in 2015, ‘The Gypsy King’ returned.

And his chosen opponent was former cruiserweight Sefer Seferi, who decided to move up to heavyweight for this opportunity.

At the pre-fight weigh-in the size difference between the two men was drastic, with Fury almost standing a head taller than his opponent.

After stepping on the scales, Fury registered 4st 10lbs heavier than Seferi and ‘The Gypsy King’ had already shed 10-stone in preparation for this bout.

As the two men faced-off, Fury made light of the size difference as he picked up Seferi with ease and held him in his arms.

In the ring on fight night, unsurprisingly it was a mismatch, as Fury comfortably out-boxed his opponent and Seferi’s corner pulled him out at the end of the fourth round.

From here, Fury had one more fight against Francesco Pianeta, which he won on points, before taking on Deontay Wilder, one of the hardest punchers in heavyweight boxing history, for the WBC heavyweight world title in 2018.

Fury was dropped twice, but both times he got back to his feet and earned a split decision draw, although many thought the Brit deserved the victory.

But, two years later, Fury got the chance to redeem the only slight blip on his record as he clashed with Wilder once again and knocked him out.

The trilogy ended with the same result and Fury has since gone on to defend his world title twice more, with wins over Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora.

Next up, ‘The Gypsy King’ takes on former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night, but for this fight his WBC strap will not be on the line.
