British jeweller Monica Vinader is aiming to offer bespoke digital services as a way to boost sales globally and is now working with Constructor, an AI-powered product discovery and search platform, to “help create digital experiences that shine”.
The company, which focuses on accessibly priced fine jewellery, has been growing fast at home and abroad (particularly in the US and Asia Pacific) and wants the new tech on its webstore to help shoppers “easily discover the everyday fine jewellery items that reflect their own personal style”.
The AI will “dynamically assemble landing pages that cater to the tastes of each individual shopper”, and should free up the e-commerce team by “automating time-consuming manual tasks, such as detecting synonyms and adjusting for typos in online search”.
As the partnership kicks off, Monica Vinader will tap Constructor’s solutions for search, browse, collection and merchant controls and intelligence.
The company has prioritised enhancing the digital customer experience and Constructor’s platform supports this. The firm said it harmonises data across a brand’s channels to “personalise search results, browse experiences and more for the shopper while also optimising experiences for retail key performance indicators”.
It should also give Monica Vinader’s merchandisers and business users actionable insights into how the decisions they make — such as slotting a product at the top of results or boosting up higher-margin products — affect the site’s metrics as a whole.
As well as operating its webstore, Monica Vinader sells through big names such as Selfridges, Liberty, John Lewis, Farfetch and Nordstrom, and in its own physical stores across the UK, US, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea.
COO Kunal Damani said: “The luxury jewellery and experiences we provide extend, of course, to online interactions. We want to ensure that each customer can easily discover what’s most attractive and meaningful to them. Constructor lets us do all this — while saving our merchandisers time and feeding back valuable insights that further our strategic growth.”
