Now according to research conducted by jewellery giant Pandora, the Duchess of Sussex was crowned as the one royal who owns the most iconic royal engagement ring in 2023.

Meghan’s ring received 586,000 Google searches – over seven times more searches than the Princess of Wales’s Ceylon sapphire engagement ring.

Princess Kate’s ring came in third, receiving just 74,500, following the late Princess Diana, whose ring was searched for 143,900 times.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie secured the fourth and fifth spots with 7,470 and 9,840 searches respectively.

Due to its recent appearance, Meghan’s ring topped the list of celebrity rings still trending in 2024, followed by Princess Diana, Meghan Fox, Hailey Baldwin-Bieber and Princess Kate.

Additionally, her new pave ring ranked among the top ten most popular styles, garnering 31,900 searches.

However, as Kate’s ring was previously owned by Princess Diana, who received 143,900 searches, the Ceylon sapphire collectively racked up 218,400 searches.

Overall, Pandora’s study discovered that royal engagement rings weigh in at an average of 6.4 carats and hold an average value of £187,842.89.

Meanwhile, Stranger Things sensation Millie Bobby Brown (116,730 searches) claimed the top spot for the most popular celebrity engagement ring in 2023, followed by actresses Zooey Deschanel (96,310) and Vanessa Hudgens (37,130).

Moreover, the research used Google search data to reveal the ultimate 2024 engagement ring which would be a princess-cut moissanite set on a vintage gold band.
