Authentic Brands announced on Wednesday a partnership with Mondottica Group, the eyewear brand partner and design specialist, for Reebok.
As part of the new deal, Mondottica Group will design, manufacture and distribute Reebok-branded eyewear and sunglass products for men, women, boys and girls.
“Through our partnership with Mondottica Group, we’re expanding the Reebok brand into
the realm of eyewear,” said Steve Robaire, EVP of Reebok at Authentic. “This product
offering allows us to provide our consumers with high-performance, stylish eyewear that
complements their active lifestyles.”
The Reebok eyewear collection will feature a range of styles, with the debut collection comprises 24 models for optical and 16 for sun with a gender split, 70 percent men and 30 percent women.
Styles will feature a mix of acetate and metal styles featuring Reebok branded filled enamel logos and integrated spring hinges and custom core wires, according to a press release.
Earlier this month, the Reebok 2024 eyewear collection was revealed at the MIDO Eyewear Show in Milan. The new assortment will be available globally across optical retailers, key department stores, specialty retailers and online.
“Reebok is one of the world’s most respected sports lifestyle brands. Mondottica Group is extremely pleased to sign a global eyewear partnership with Authentic and to have previewed the debut 2024 collection of sports-inspired eyewear at the MIDO Eyewear Show,” said Tony Pessok, CEO of Mondottica.
Reebok was acquired by brand management firm Authentic Brands Group in May 2022.
Headquartered in New York City, Authentic connects its brands with global operators, distributors and retailers and generates than $29 billion in global annual retail sales across it portfolio. It has an expansive retail footprint in 150 countries, including 13,300-plus freestanding stores and shop-in-shops and 382,000 points of sale.
