The Nifty Bank index, which comprises data of 12 banking stocks, rose by 178.85 points or 0.38 per cent to settle at 46,863.75.
BSE Sensex went up by 190.75 points or 0.26 per cent to settle at 72,831.94. The index also reached intraday low of 72,172.09 and went high high of 73,115.62.
The NSE Nifty rose by 84.80 points or 0.39 per cent to finish at 22,096.75. today It touched a low of 21,883.30 and a high of 22,180.70, respectively.

Sun Pharma, Maruti Suzuki and IndusInd Bank ended as the top three gainers in the Sensex index.
Top Losers On Stock Market
Infosys, Wipro, HCL Tech, TCS and Tech Mahindra stocks were the top losers in the index.
Stock Market Opening
Sensex went down by 409.53 points after opening and opened red at 72,231.66 in early morning trade today. The Nifty50 index went down by 79.75 points and opened in the negative territory at 21,932.20.
Nifty Smallcap 100 opened in green, went up by 0.36%, whereas Nifty Midcap 100 went below by 0.05%.
