New Delhi: A bomb threat has been received by the Delhi Public School (DPS) in Dwarka area of New Delhi today morning. While there aren’t many updates as of now, Delhi Police, the Bomb Disposal Squad and fire-tenders have been rushed to the spot; a search is underway to check whether the news of a bomb in the school is true or not. The Bomb Disposal Team (BDT) undertook a proper, thorough checking of the school to ensure complete safety of all the staff and students. Bomb Threat Received By DPS, Dwarka
As mentioned earlier, a bomb threat has been received by the Delhi Public School in Dwarka, New Delhi following which, Delhi Police, Bomb Disposal Squad and fire tenders arrived at the spot and an extensive search is underway. More details about the same are awaited. In a statement, the Delhi Police has said, ” Information was received regarding a bomb in Delhi Public School, Dwarka. Delhi Police, Bomb Disposal Squad and fire tenders have arrived on the spot. Search is underway.”

This is not the first time that a DPS has received a bomb threat; in February this year, a case was registered when DPS RK Puram received a bomb threat by email and exactly last year, in May, DPS Mathura Road also received a bomb threat via email but it was later declared hoax by the police.
Mother Mary’s School, Mayur Vihar Receives Bomb Threat
Along with DPS Dwarka, a bomb threat has also been received by Mother Mary’s School in Mayur Vihar, New Delhi. The threat was received by the school via an email and now, the entire school is being evacuated; the police and the bomb squad have reached the building and checking is being done to check whether the threat is a hoax or not. Delhi Police is now on high alert as on the same day, within a few hours, two schools of the national capital have received a bomb threat.
