New Delhi: Indian captain Rohit Sharma met Rinku Singh after the Kolkata Knight Riders star missed the spot in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 which will be played in USA and West Indies later this year in June. Rinku will travel with the team as reserve batter.
Rinku is currently in Mumbai along with his franchise KKR, they will lock horns against Mumbai Indians for the upcoming match which will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Many cricket fans and experts criticized the management for not selecting Rinku for the Indian squad playing in the USA and West Indies.

Earlier, in the press conference chief selector Ajit Agarkar revealed Rinku Singh’s exclusion in the T20 World Cup squad.
“Rinku Singh exclusion was the toughest decision. It’s got nothing to do with Rinku. We felt Rohit can have an extra spin option with two wrist spinners. He is in the reserves so that’s how close he was” said Agarkar on Rinku Singh.
