WWE 2K24 is one of the few new games (alongside Hades 2 and Balatro) that I’ve actually managed to get stuck into in 2024. After skipping countless WWE video games during the early 2K era, the latest iteration definitely feels like a return to form, providing a nice balance between the fun of old-school wrestling games and the depth of modern sports titles. Despite already containing a roster of Superstars that would make any promoter green with envy, WWE 2K24 is about to get a fresh injection of new talent, courtesy of the ECW add-on pack. Headlined by the Straight Edge Superstar CM Punk, the ECW Pack has a May 15 release date on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. While there’s no official launch time, WWE 2K games typically add new content at 6pm BST UK time.
CM Punk will be joined by ECW legends Sandman and The Dudley Boyz (D-Von Dudley and Bubba Ray Dudley), as well as wrestling icon Terry Funk.
As an added bonus, the first WWE 2K24 DLC pack also contains the ECW Paul Heyman MyFaction Card, as well as other Superstar Cards.
The ECW add-on pack will be followed by more content in the coming months, beginning with the Post Malone & Friends Pack on June 26, which has something of a musical theme. Post Malone will be joined by Mosh and Thrasher of the Headbangers, Honky Tonk Man, Jimmy Hart and Sensational Sherri (presumably because she sang Shawn Michael’s theme tune back in the early 1990s).
Pat McAfee headlines the third DLC pack in July, while former AEW talent Jade Cargill will be part of the Global Superstars Pack in August.
Cargill will be joined by Nia Jax, Michelle McCool, Carlito, Kairi Sane, Lyra Valkyria and Dragon Lee.
The Season Pass content concludes with the release of the WCW Pack in November 2024. The WCW Pack contains Diamond Dallas Page, Iron Sheik, Mr. Perfect, Great Muta and Lex Luger, not to mention new MyFACTION content.
The WWE 2K24 Season Pass is available as part of the Deluxe Edition and 40 Years of Wrestlemania Edition.
It’s also worth pointing out that the ECW Pack will be accompanied by update 1.08, which makes a variety of changes to Online modes, audio and gameplay. You can see the update 1.08 patch notes below.
