Skylum has announced the release of its revamped and expanded Luminar for iPad (and now iPhone) with Luminar Mobile. As of today, the updated apps are available for the iPad, iPhone, and Apple Vision Pro devices.
According to the company, the expansion to the iPhone follows the successful launch of Luminar for the iPad and Apple Vision Pro in March. Beyond bringing Luminar to the phone, the update introduces numerous improvements that promise to empower “both amateur and professional photographers to create stunning images on the go,” regardless of their preferred mobile device.
“Redesigning and adapting our powerful software for the iPhone was a challenge we knew we had to take on,” says Ivan Kutanin, CEO of Skylum. “With Luminar for iPad, we developed a superior mobile solution, but it’s undeniable that many people prefer the convenience of being able to shoot, edit, and share photos using a smartphone while on the go. With Luminar Mobile, iPhone users have cutting-edge tools right in the palm of their hand, allowing them to achieve professional results that they can share immediately.”
The company says Luminar Mobile will retain the design and features from Luminar for iPad, including intuitive touch navigation and reactive animations and sounds, which Skylum says makes the user experience more engaging and gives the user the right tools to edit their favorite images wherever they are.
“The creative freedom of Luminar Mobile is fully integrated into the Apple ecosystem,” Skylum says.
In addition to the expanded device access, the updated app includes two new specialized portrait tools for enhancing images and capturing people in their best light: SkinAI and BodyAI.
Pricing and Availability
Luminar Mobile is available today on the Apple App Store as part of a subscription, with pricing starting at $4.99 per month, $19.99 for six months, or $29.99 for a yearly subscription. A seven-day free trial is also available.
Existing users of Luminar for iPad will receive the update to Luminar Mobile for free, granting them access to the improved app for the iPad as well as access for their iPhone and Apple Vision Pro using their existing subscription.
