Irish actress and Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan is the face of latest campaign for the SKIMS Soft Lounge collection, its launch coming hot on the heels of Bridgerton’s season three finale.
The campaign was shot by fashion photographer Elizaveta Porodina who’s known for her “conceptual and ethereal aesthetic, capturing Nicola as she poses amongst dreamy florals in SKIMS’ body-hugging dresses”.
Coughlan has made a huge impact in recent years, first for her breakthrough role in Derry Girls, before joining the Bridgerton cast as Penelope Featherington, and also appearing in last year’s hit movie Barbie.
The company said that enlisting her “is another example of SKIMS impressive casting strategy and ability to authentically connect with timely, cultural moments”.
It has “consistently taken over the internet with talent campaigns perfectly timed to pivotal moments including Jude Bellingham for SKIMS Mens timed to the UEFA Euro 2024, Alex Cooper for Wedding Shop prior to her own nuptials; Usher for SKIMS Mens timed to his Super Bowl halftime performance; and Lana Del Ray for Valentines Day ahead of headlining Coachella, to name a few campaigns from this year alone”.
In fact with co-founder Kim Kardashian undeniably knowing a thing or two about attracting attention, the company has been undeniably savvy in its choice of brand faces. The Jude Bellingham campaign that launched only last week was a major headline-grabber in the UK press. The imagery made the front pages of both many tabloids and broadsheets as well as appearing extensively online.
