Cardi B Dressed Up as a Giant Flower With the Manicure to Match — See the Photos

Cardi B just transformed herself into a giant flower. The rapper got all glammed up for the Marc Jacobs fall 2024 runway show in New York City in a ’60s-inspired purple bubble dress reminiscent of iris petals in bloom with a beehive updo and extra-long petal pink manicure to match.

The theme of Jacobs’s show was “Joy, period” and Cardi absolutely delivered in her effervescent look. Let’s take it from the top, shall we? The rapper wore her hair piled up atop her head in a modern take on a beehive, with straight-across bangs brushing her mod sunglasses. Instead of being stiff and shellacked with hairspray, Cardi’s updo was softer and slightly loose, with a few pieces pulled out for a touch of romance.

Cardi’s nails were several inches long and shaped into a perfect square, painted the subtlest baby pink for a sweet flower petal aesthetic. Though she kept the sunglasses on for most of the show—they were part of the look, after all—underneath she wore lushly fringed lashes, blue contacts, and a pretty lined mauve rose lip. Dandelion yellow tights and white platform shoes finished off her 2020s-does-’90s-does-’60s moment.

Cardi has been pulling out all the stops with her glam lately; it seems like every look is better than the last. She’s put her stamp on the coquette look with bow-bedecked hairstyles and beribboned pigtails, then done a complete 180 with a ‘90s-style pixie to show off her latest ear piercing. Oh, and we can’t forget her original Met Gala glam idea, where she aged herself with prosthetics and a gray wig as a fun interpretation on the “Garden of Time” theme. The rapper has so much fun with beauty and that enthusiasm is contagious. Seriously, you can’t not smile when staring at this fun floral moment. It’s pure joy!
