Footwear brand Crocs has partnered with Apparel Group India Private Limited to expand its retail network across North and East India. Apparel Group has been appointed as Crocs’ exclusive retail licensee for the region.
“We are thrilled to announce Apparel Group’s partnership with Crocs’ to revolutionise the outdoor retail experience in [the] North and East India region,” announced Apparel Group India Private Limited on Linkedin.
Crocs has also partnered with footwear business Metro Brands, which operates Crocs stores in the West and South of India. By partnering with Apparel Group India, Crocs aims to expand into new Indian locations and connect with new customer demographics.
“Our focus is to build on the success we have together achieved in the GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council] region and extend it to new markets in North and East India,” Apparel Group India’s president Tushar Ved announced in a press release. “With the addition of Crocs’ iconic footwear brand to our Indian portfolio, we are excited to expand our customer reach and offer a wider range of high-quality products.”
Apparel Group India retails a range of international brands in the Indian market including Charles & Keith, Aldo, and Victoria’s Secret, according to its Linkedin page. The majority of its over 2,200 retail stores are located on high streets and in shopping malls.
