NEET MDS 2024 Counselling Process is underway. Check reservation policy for AIQ and internal seats for Delhi University.

NEET MDS 2024: The Medical Counselling Committee(MCC) will commence the round 2 registration process for the NEET MDS 2024 Counselling next week. While the seat allotment result will be announced on July 31, the choice filling will be available up to 11:55 PM on July 28, 2024. There will be four rounds of AIQ counseling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Rounds, and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round (SLA(C) No. 10487 of 2021 before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India). The Open seats-domicile free include:

  • 50% All India Quota seats
  • 50% Seats of BHU
  • 50% Seats of AMU
  • 50% All India Quota seats of DU/Central Institute

Fifty per cent (50%) seats will be contributed by Delhi University to All India Quota. For the remaining 50% of seats, candidates who have completed their BDS from DU are eligible for an Internal Quota of 50% in Delhi University. The reservation policy of the Central Government is followed:

  • S.C.-15%
  • S.T.-7.5%
  • O.B.C.-(Non-Creamy Layer) as per the Central OBC list-27%
  • EWS-as per Central Government norms-10%
  • PwD- Horizontal Reservation as per NMC norms-5%

According to the MCC NEET MDS 2024 information bulletin, the reservation of seats under the PWD Category is 5% in AIQ and the twenty-one (21) Benchmark Disabilities as envisaged under the regulations of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 and as per NMC norms.

Candidates who want to avail 5% PWD reservation in PG seats of Govt./Central medical institutions should obtain Disability certificate as per 21 Benchmark Disabilities given under RPWD Act 2016 and as per NMC norms, from the designated disability centers as per the list enclosed as Annexure-2(check information bulletin). The certificate issued by any other hospital/board will not be accepted.

Roster:

The roster on the 50% AIQ as well as 50% Internal seats will be applied by the MCC of DGHS, MoHFW.

NEET MDS 2024 Counselling: Eligibility Condition for DU Internal Quota

For Delhi University Quota: “The candidate must have passed final BDS examination (for MDS Course) from theUniversity of Delhi and must have completed satisfactorily one year compulsory rotating internship as on 30th June of the year of admission and must submit their internship completion certificate at the time of admission,” reads the information bulletin. The eligibility condition for internal quota is provided by DU.
