Kim Kardashian with sister Khole Kardashian, attended the grand wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant wedding in Mumbai. Their stunning outfits and presence at the event created quite a buzz. Besides their modern traditional looks, Kim’s selfie with Bollywood icon Aishwarya Rai whom she called a ‘queen’ grabbed attention all over. Now, her stylist, Dani Levi, recently on Instagram revealed that Aishwarya was the main muse while creating Kim and Khole’s looks for Ambani wedding. Scroll down to read what she said.
Dani took to her Instagram and share a video where she spoke about the inspiration behind Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian’s elegant looks from Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. She said, “My main muse for this project (Kim K and Khloe’s Ambani wedding looks) was Aishwarya Rai, one of the most elegant, exotic, iconic women in the world.” Dani also showcase some of Aishwarya’s exquisite looks from her movies, such as Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Jodha Akbar, which were included on the mood board.

Dani also revealed that one of the main reasons for choosing Manish Malhotra to create Kim and Khloe’s looks was that he had previously worked in Aishwarya’s films. She added, “This is Manish Malhotra, the God of Bollywood, a legendary designer who has also worked on Aishwarya’s films.” Dani felt that working Manish could help in capturing the essence of Aishwarya’s iconic style.
While respecting the Indian culture, the stylist wanted to give modern twists to the traditional outfits. She aimed for “feminine, Hollywood and modern feels” in the sarees and lehengas worn by Kim and Khole.
Aishwarya Rai’s timeless beauty and style were the inspiration behind Kim and Khole’s stunning looks at Ambani wedding. The celebrity sisters attended the ceremony on the 12th and were also present for the Shubh Aashirwad ceremony and reception on July 13. Kim wore two lehengas designed by Manish Malhotra, a blush pink lehenga by Tarun Tahiliani, and bralette skirt ensemble by Gaurav Gupta.
With help of Dani Levi and designers like Manish Malhotra, the Kardashian sisters successfully blended traditional fashion with Hollywood glamour.
