R Madhavan‘s incredible weight loss transformation has left everyone puzzled. The man who went from a chubby director to a lean, mean acting machine swears by a diet plan that is not just simple but also surprising. After gaining extra kilos for his directorial debut, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, Madhavan shared his impressive journey of shedding those extra pounds in just 21 days without hardcore workouts or running.
R Madhavan’s Secrets to Weight Loss in 21 Days
In an interview with Curly Tales, Madhavan shared his fitness secrets and one of them is chewing. Yes, you read that right! the actor revealed that he chewed each bite of his food 45-60 times. The 54-year-old actor also emphasised the importance of mindful eating, saying, “Drink your food and chew your water.”

Madhavan also revealed that he tries to have his last meal by 6:45, preferring solely of cooked food, as he avoids anything raw after 3pm. He also highlighted the benefits of early morning long walks, early nights with deep sleep, and no screen time at least 90 minutes before bed. He strictly avoided anything processed and only focused on easily metabolised and healthy foods.
The video shared by X showed Madhavan explaining his approach to gaining and losing weight rapidly using applied kinesiology. “I did a lot of research to find out how I can put on weight and then lose it quickly. The research took me to a test called applied kinesiology — which tells everybody, every one of us — how we are at any given point of time intolerant to a type of food because of our emotional state,” he explained.
Madhavan aslo recounted the time where he only used to consume cake for three months and added, “I only ate what I was intolerant to. So, the whole body (kind of) bloated up. It was difficult to bend down and tie my laces. But post that period, I only ate food that was good for my body. No exercise, no running, no surgery, no medication.”
