LOVE Island evictees Harry Baker and Lola Deluca were left squirming in their seats as show host Maya Jama asked if they’d now go on a date together.
The ITV2 show’s most recent bombshells were given the boot on Sunday as part of a dramatic Grafties ceremony.
The Sun had revealed it would be the most shocking ceremony ever – even more so than Movie Night – with us exclusively reporting how it would kick off with the dumping.
Yet Lola, 22 – who attempted to graft with Reuben Collins, 23, and Joey Essex, 33 – and Harry, 25, who had his sights set on Grace Jackson, 25, never really caught a break.
After re-coupling with Reuben and Grace respectively, barely any time passed before another re-coupling ceremony where they were paired back with each other again.
This weekend, The Sun told how they were forced to pack their bags immediately and leave the Majorca compound.
They appeared via a live video link to outside the accommodation, while Maya was in the Aftersun studio.
She said: “Well lets talk about you two, you did admit you fancied each other. Any chance of a date on the outside?
“Any continuing of this blossoming romance?”
The duo appeared lost for words, silently smiling in an awkward pause.
Harry eventually replied: “Who knows, obviously in the villa it’s heated in there, see how we get on these next couple of days after being dumped.
“Obviously we do fancy each other so who knows.”
Maya, picking up on the offish vibes, replied: “OK that was a little bit awkward not going to lie, felt like ‘Ummmm we will see’. Fine!”
Fans were previously left “furious” after suggesting the duo had been “stitched up” by the show.
It came after they were forced into a couple – with the public then tasked with voting for their favourite pairing.
Love Island 2024 couples
The Islanders are all ‘coupled up’ in the villa.
The couples so far include:
Some suggested the duo should have been immune – forecasting they would be chosen as “least popular” due to their lack of time in the villa compared to others.
One took to social media to write: “They should be putting Lola and Harry immune. Absolute p*** take putting them up for the vote.”
Another said: “Purely voting for Lola and Harry because they were absolutely stitched up and they’re nicer people than some of those couples.”
