On August 6, Blake Lively attended the “It Ends With Us” movie premiere in New York City, and we haven’t stopped staring at photos of the event since. Lively stars as Lily Bloom in the film adaption of Colleen Hoover’s novel of the same name, and we aren’t exaggerating when we say we’ve added every single one of her press tour ensembles to our Pinterest inspiration board.

For the premiere, Lively wore a Versace dress, which was a mix of blue, purple, green, and yellow tones and decorated with butterflies. If the dress looked familiar, it’s because it was originally worn by Britney Spears at the Versace Spring 2003 runway show (yes, the actual same dress). While the outfit was stunning, our eyes were glued to her manicure — which featured a special nod to the dress. Pulling inspiration from the design of the gown, Lively’s nails were filed into a short, squoval shape and painted with a sheer pink gel with dotted florals and butterflies.

“The inspo was Britney Spears’ circa 2002,” says Lively’s long-time celebrity manicurist Elle Gerstein in a press release. “We were inspired by revisiting such a classic look from the early 2000s and the nails showcased the ultimate symbol of rebirth: the guardian of gardens, the butterfly.” According to Gerstein, the butterfly and floral accents were added by Blake herself.

To get the look, Gerstein applied one coat of OPI GelColor Stay Classic Base Coat ($21). From there, she added two coats of OPI Switch to Portrait Mode ($16). Next, she created dotted flowers using the shades Stop at Nothin’ ($16), Lookin Cute-icle ($16), and Alpine Snow ($17).
