GenTeal Apparel, an Oxford, Miss.-based classic men’s brand targeted to outdoorsmen, has named Abigail Linton chief executive officer.
Linton was most recently chief strategy officer and chief operating officer of Onward Reserve. In her 14 years in the apparel industry, she was also vice president of inventory management and supply chain at Greyson Clothiers. Before that, she spent more than eight years at Peter Millar including as director of inventory forecasting and analytics and director of planning.
“I’m thrilled to join the GenTeal team at such a pivotal time,” Linton said. “GenTeal has seen incredible growth over the years due to the team’s commitment to quality products, building a sound operational foundation and thanks to our customers and wholesale partners. As we focus on omnichannel expansion and building brand awareness, these key pillars will remain foundational to the brand’s evolution.”
GenTeal was created in 2016 by Blake Dubinski and Brice Noonan. It is now sold in more than 250 specialty stores and country clubs in 22 states across the U.S. The brand was recently named to Inc. 5000’s list of the fastest-growing privately owned businesses in the nation. The founders had served as co-CEOs of the brand.
GenTeal — whose logo is a blue-winged teal, a water bird — offers apparel for golfing, hiking and outdoor adventures. Its button-down shirts, polos, T-shirts, five-pocket pants and shorts are designed to be appropriate “from the conference room to the campfire, the first tee to the 19th hole,” the company says on its website.
