NEET UG Counselling 2024: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate Counselling 2024 today, August 14. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is set to facilitate the allocation of MBBS and BDS seats under the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ). The candidates who have qualified in NEET UG 2024 can apply on the official website – mcc.nic.in.

The counselling process will take place for 1,09,145 MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) and 27,868 BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) seats. In addition, around 1,000 BSc Nursing seats will be allocated through NEET counselling, apart from several others in AYUSH and veterinary courses across India.

Here’s a breakdown of the important dates and procedures for the counselling rounds:

Round 1: The registration window for round 1 is open until August 20 at noon, with the payment window aligned accordingly. From August 14 to 15, participating institutes and the National Medical Commission will verify the preliminary seat matrix. Subsequently, the choice-filling window will open on August 16 and close on August 20 at 11:55 pm, with choice locking scheduled between 4 pm and 11:55 pm on August 20. The first round’s seat allocation results will be announced on August 23, following which candidates must report to their assigned institutions between August 24 and 29.

Round 2: For the second round of counselling, seat matrix verification by institutes will take place from September 4 to 5. The registration process will kick off on September 5 and conclude on September 10 at noon, with the payment facility open until 3 pm on the same day. Choice filling for round 2 will commence on September 6 and end on September 10 at 11:55 pm, while choice locking is scheduled between 4 pm and 11:55 pm on September 10. The round 2 seat allotment results will be announced on September 13, marking another crucial milestone in the NEET UG 2024 counselling process.
