New Delhi: The country has been eagerly waiting for the ambitious Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor (MAHSR) bullet train that will connect Mumbai in Maharashtra to Ahmedabad in Gujarat and the construction work of India’s Bullet Train project is going on at a rapid pace in Surat, Gujarat. Recent aerial footage shows the progress made on this high-speed rail corridor.

The Bullet Train project is a leading initiative aimed at revolutionizing rail travel in India. With trains designed to run at speeds of up to 320 km/h, the corridor will drastically reduce travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, covering a distance of 508 km at a high speed reaching up to 320 km/h in just about two hours.

The Ministry of Railways on Wednesday, August 7, shared the updates about the project as it said that significant advancements have been made in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project and key construction phases are making substantial progress and bringing the project closer to completion.

Now, the latest visuals from Surat show the construction process, including the development of viaducts, track laying, and station building.

The bird’s eye view captures the scale and complexity of the work, offering a glimpse into the meticulous planning and execution required for a project of this magnitude.

With the project proceeding smoothly, the laying of the rail tracks is underway with ongoing efforts to ensure timely completion.

Developed with an investment of Rs 1.08 lakh crore, it will be India’s first bullet train that will navigate through Gujarat, Maharashtra, and the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
