An official statement issued by Air India said the airline has adopted the latest 21.3 schema from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), a revolutionary technology which will allow the carrier to offer tailored booking experiences for both business and leisure travelers.
Great news for flyers as they can avail exclusive deals, add-ons and tailored travel packages on Air India flights as the airline has adopted the New Distribution Capability (NDC), becoming the first Indian carrier to roll out this innovative technology which simplifies flight bookings and offers amazing deals to flyers.
An official statement issued by Air India said the airline has adopted the latest 21.3 schema from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), a revolutionary technology which will allow the carrier to offer tailored booking experiences for both business and leisure travelers.
As per the statement, the IATA-backed NDC system, which uses an advanced XML-based standard for bookings, provides travel agents access to a wider range of services such as exclusive flight deals, add-ons, and custom tour packages for travelers.
“Implementing NDC is a significant milestone for Air India as we continue to innovate and enhance our distribution strategy. Our goal is to provide a seamless and efficient booking experience for our travel partners and customers,” Air India Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Nipun Agarwal wrote on X.

The NDC system allows Air India to provide better pricing, customized offers and real-time options to customer which were unavailable on older systems, the airline said, adding that flyers can now take advantage of a more simpler and transparent booking process also get the best deals available for them.
