Ashlynn Park used her spring 2025 collection to explore a softer and more feminine side of her house codes.
Inspired by reverie, Park leveraged her expertise in craft and subtle details with airy silhouettes that were an exciting addition to her lineup of more structured styles.
“I set the theme as reverie, daydreaming and exploring,” Park said. “My research was back to fashion history as usual, revisiting ideas and then I applied those genius ideas whenever I met challenges.”
Park went with lighter fabrics this season to give the collection a more ethereal feel. There were sheer chiffon skirts paired with her signature puzzle top and simple black and white jersey dresses that showed the designer’s strength in construction.
The collection highlighted the range of Park’s skillset when it comes to handcrafted details. A standout style was a hand-pleated jersey dress that was constructed to resemble a corset-like bodice without any boning. The designer said the construction took over a month to perfect.
She utilized the same technique elsewhere, including a bright red viscose jersey dress that added a rich pop of color to her otherwise black and white collection.
While Park’s collections mostly have a structured feel to them, for spring she experimented with rough edges, like a raw edged leather miniskirt jacket and matching denim skirt that added a youthful feel to the more mature lineup.
Another key look was an eel skin pleated leather top that Park also hand made, showing her ability to manipulate an array of fabrics to add newness to them.
The collection highlighted the designer’s skills in construction and how she’s able to evolve her house codes to continue to appeal to her customer base.
