Duchess Sophie sparks fan frenzy with new autumn look as she presents prestigious award | Royal | News

The Duchess of Edinburgh looked effortlessly chic as she debuted a new autumn outfit for an event in London on Thursday.

Duchess Sophie presented designer Steven Stokey-Daley – who has been backed by singer Harry Styles – the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design at the British Fashion Council Awards.

The founder and creative director of fashion brand SS Daley received the annual award, which recognises innovation and work that engages with sustainable practices or the community, at Burlington House on Thursday.

Sophie looked stunning in a wine-coloured blouse by Frame (£360) and Victoria Beckham’s Alina trousers in tobacco (£590).

She accessorised the look with Jalda’s Katherine clutch in black croc embossed and Jimmy Choo’s Ixia 80 pointed heels in garnet (£750).

She also appeared to wear colour-matching drop earrings.

Royal fans appeared to have loved the royal’s look and took to social media to express their adoration.

One user wrote on Instagram: “What a great autumn look! I just love the burgundy with those textured pants. I want an outfit like this!”

Another one said: “She always looks great, her looks are cohesive, appropriate for the event, well-tailored and pressed.”

A third one added: “This ensemble is definitely on the right track. The bag and shoes are gorgeous.”

A fourth one commented: “This color(sic) is soo glam on the duchess.”

During Thursday’s event, singer Laura Mvula delivered a performance, while stars in attendance included broadcaster Clara Amfo and 2023 award winner Foday Dumbuya.

Stokey-Daley said: “We’re honoured to receive The Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design this year – a year in which London proves its resilience.

“It’s a privilege to join such esteemed peers as a recipient of this award, and I want to thank Caroline Rush, Sarah Mower, HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh, and the British Fashion Council.”
