Satyam is a brilliant student since his childhood he also proved it by becoming the youngest prodigy to crack the one of the toughest exams in India – IIT-JEE – at the age of 13. Notably, earlier the record was held by Sahal Kaushik who achieved this feat at the age of 14.
Satyam Kumar: Cracked IIT-JEE Twice
Kumar’s journey with the esteemed exam began earlier than 2013; it was actually in 2012, at the ripe age of 12, when he first cleared the test, securing a national rank of 8,137. Not satisfied with this achievement, and driven by loftier goals, Kumar chose to sit for the exam again.
His thirst for knowledge and understanding propelled him through a combined BTech-MTech degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, which he completed successfully in 2018. The allure of academia didn’t cease there, as he then moved to the University of Texas at Austin, eager to further his education with a Ph.D.

During his study at IIT- Kanpur, Satyam also worked on three projects – “Optimisation of electrode positions in Different Brain Computer Interfaces”, “Electrooculogram based eye blink classification During EOG signal acquisition”, and “Imaginative Speech based Brain-Computer Interface”, India Today reported.
Satyam Kumar: Job At Tech Giant Apple
After finishing his advanced studies, he embarked on his professional journey with Apple at a tender age of 24, stepping into the shoes of a machine learning intern, a role he fulfilled till August 2023. A peek into his LinkedIn suggests that his current interests lie in the domain of brain-computer interfaces, and he’s making strides in the field as a graduate research assistant at the prestigious University of Texas at Austin.
