Redemption Spring 2025 Ready to Wear Runway, Fashion Show & Collection Review

In tune with his passion for music, Gabriele “Bebe” Moratti approached the 10th anniversary show of his brand like an artist putting together a “Greatest Hits” album. He reprised the strongest pieces from the past decade and shuffled them with 16 new ones he added to the lineup as bonus tracks.

As a result, the collection displayed the consistency of Moratti’s rock ‘n’ roll and glitzy vision, loud with ‘80s volumes, maxi ruffles, leather pieces and sequins aplenty.

These elements contributed to the celebratory mood of the show, which opened with David Bowie’s 1983 invitation to dance booming from speakers. What followed was a high-octane parade of mainly eveningwear, with draped gowns glittering with fire red sequins; corseted minidresses wrapped in feminine bows; giant ruffles bouncing on single-shoulder frocks and broadening the silhouette of several looks, and maxi roses topping jackets and gowns that were either ultra-short or came with voluminous trains.

“The cool thing is that it’s difficult to tell apart which are the new designs and which are the old ones. It means we stayed true to ourselves,” said Moratti ahead of the show. “There can be many styles under the rock ‘n’ roll [umbrella]. For me it has always been about an attitude and feeling confident.”
