Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar’s letters to 10-year-old son reveal…

Sinwar was killed on Wednesday by the IDF.

New Delhi: The Israeli troops have come across letters reportedly sent and received by slain Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar to and from his 10-year-old son. The letters were discovered when the Israeli security forces were conducting a search near the homes where Yahya Sinwar was killed.

According to a report shared by the Hebrew media on Friday, October 18, the eliminated Hamas leader tried to instill “hatred for Israel” in his mind.

Sinwar’s letters to his son berated Israel while he sent his father drawings of dead Israeli soldiers. At one instance he asked his father when the war would end, according to Channel 12.

Sinwar was killed on Wednesday, October 16 by the IDF during an Israeli military operation in the Tal El Sultan area, in southern Gaza.

Hamas confirmed the death of Yahya Sinwar on Friday, October 18, following an Israeli military strike. Khalil al-Hayya, a senior Hamas official based in Qatar, released a video, referring to him as a “martyred brother.”

Sinwar had served 23 years in Israeli prison for the murder of Palestinians whom he suspected of cooperating with Israel. In October 2011, he was one of over 1,000 Palestinians who were released by the Israeli authorities in return for Gilad Shalit, a soldier Hamas kidnapped in 2006.

The Israeli military released drone footage showing Yahya Sinwar’s final moments where he is shown covered in dust. The drone closes in on a fatally wounded Hamas chief who is seen throwing a stick at the drone.
