Miu Miu is putting a sustainable spin on festive attire with the release of its latest Upcycled collection. Emma Corrin returns to front the brand’s 2024 holiday campaign, modeling new eco-friendly fashions including knitwear, kilts and leather outerwear.
Corrin appears in a series of color-treated portraits by Lengua, as well as a short video where the actor lists off seasonal sights, smells and feelings: “gingerbread muffins with butter, dusting off the silverware, frozen fountains, perfect stillness.”
Launched in 2020, Miu Miu’s Upcycled range has become a key pillar of the brand that aligns with their long-term commitment to circular design. The label has launched sustainable denim, dresses and handbags, though the 2024 holiday collection is the first Upcycled line that comprises a full wardrobe.
Corrin, the Emmy-nominated star of Netflix’s “The Crown,” poses in a cozy, colorful sweater made from reused melange yarn, a Chantilly lace dress embroidered with archival appliqués, a tartan kilt dotted with faceted stones and finally, leather pieces featuring floral and flame motifs inspired by Miu Miu’s spring 2011 collection. Corrin also brandishes the label’s new knit iteration of their iconic Wander bag.
“Miu Miu Upcycled continues to breathe new life into cherished garments from the past, enhancing the experience of those who will wear them in the future,” reads a statement from the brand. “This project not only preserves the history of these pieces but also enriches the lives of new wearers with a sense of style and sustainability.”
Corrin previously appeared in Miu Miu’s 2023 holiday campaign. They have a close relationship with the house, having walked in their fall 2023 fashion show and modeling Miu Miu designs at high-profile events such as Wimbledon and the Venice Film Festival.
