The net worth of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has increased by $7 billion, reaching a whopping $228 billion, owing to the rise in Amazon’s stock prices following the victory Donald Trump in the recently concluded US presidential elections. However, Bezos, who is now ranked as the third richest person in the Forbes billionaires’ list,  is also renowned for his philanthropic ventures, and has donated $110 million to combat homelessness, according to Forbes.

As per a Forbes article, Jeff Bezos has donated another $110 million to homeless families, a year after he gave away $117 million in new grants to charitable organizations across the United States and Puerto Rico as part of his $2 billion commitment, made in 2018 to support homeless families and to run free preschools.

Meanwhile, Amazon stock witnessed a surge after the re-election of Donald Trump, closing at an all-time high of $207.09 on Wednesday, which also boosted the Nasdaq 100 to reach a record high as Amazon is listed on the index.

According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Jeff Bezos’ current net worth is pegged at $228 billion, a $7 billion rise from his previous high of $221 billion reached earlier this year. The Amazon CEO’s wealth is largely tied to the company’s stock of which he owns 9 percent.

Meanwhile, the net worth of SpaceX CEO Elon Musk surged by over $50 billion, crossing the elusive $300 billion mark, less than a week after Donald Trump registered a thumping victory in the US Presidential Elections 2024. As per Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires list, Musk currently has a real-time net worth of $313 billion, making him the first and only member of the $300 billion club.

Indian business tycoons, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, are ranked 17th and 22nd on the list, with a real-time net worth of $97.9 billion and 69.8 billion, respectively.
