Jawan seems to be on a mission to break all box office records and set new benchmarks. The film, which opened on September 7, recorded the biggest possible box office collection across the country with a total business of Rs 75 crore for day one.
However, the film saw a 30 per cent dip on day two, where it collected only Rs 52.23 crore across languages.There is a very old adage that when a tiger takes a few steps back, it is not because he’s giving up, it is only to jump longer and that is exactly what Jawan did. The film on Saturday went into overdrive and collected Rs 77 crore ( Rs 68.72 crore in Hindi, Rs 5.34 crore in Tamil and Rs 3.77 crore in Telugu) and on Sunday it went into beast mode where it leaped further. According to early estimates the movie has scored Rs 81 crore on day four, across languages with Rs 70 crore coming from the Hindi release. With this record, Jawan has emerged as the highest scorer ever for a single day for a Hindi film.

WIth these numbers, Jawan is all set to enter the 300 crore club in India in just five days. The same feat was achieved by Pathaan in seven days with a total of Rs 315 crore while Gadar 2 minted Rs 20.5 crore on its eighth day to reach Rs 305 crore.
If the craze for the film continues the way it is going, Jawan will enter the coveted 500 crore club in no time and challenge all the three films Baahubali 2- The Conclusion, Gadar 2 and Pathaan present in the club.
