2024 Kia Sonet facelift spied with Seltos-inspired tail lights, alloy wheels and more

Launched back in 2020, the Kia Sonet sub-4m SUV has completed over three years in the Indian market, and it seems like the Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon rival is now ready to receive a mid-life makeover. A test mule of the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift has been spied on test yet again, helping us with high definition images of the upcoming car’s design details.
Despite being covered in camouflage, the LED headlamps are visible, revealing the new sharper-looking design. The prototype gets new diamond-cut alloy wheels which seem to be inpsired from the Seltos facelift’s HT Line variant. The tail light design of the Sonet facelift is also visible, revealing a new vertical shape with a wraparound design, similar to what we see on the recently launched new Seltos facelift.

The interior spy shot reveals a tan-coloured upholstery for the seats, with the same 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The new Sonet could carry over the Seltos’ fully-digital instrument cluster, however, the same is yet to be ascertained. Other features like connected-tech, electric sunroof, electrically adjustable ORVMs, premium audio system will likely be carried over.
Powering the Kia Sonet facelift will likely be the same powertrains as the existing model, which include a 1.2-litre four-cylinder NA petrol motor making 82 hp power; a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor generating 118 hp power and a 1.5-litre diesel unit churning out 113 hp. Pricing for the Kia Sonet currently starts from Rs 7.79 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.89 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The introduction of a facelift would result in a slight price hike considering design changes and new feature add ons.
Would you consider purchasing the upcoming Kia Sonet facelift over the likes of Hyundai Venue, new Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and others? Let us know in the comments down below.
