There’s really no better feeling than when it cools down and it’s finally time to slip on your favorite cashmere sweater — so cozy, so comfy, so luxurious. Jennifer Lopez knows the feeling, and she’s channeling that luscious softness into her latest manicure.
As usual, Lopez turned to her go-to manicurist Tom Bachik for a little fall update to her nail routine. The star’s nails are longer than normal and filed into a subtle square shape, then painted with a neutral-but-not taupe hue that manages to be both simple and statement-making, given that when you think “fall nails” you probably think deep burgundies, smoky purples and rich maroons, not necessarily a grayish beige. Bachik shared that he used Aprés Nail Gel Couleur’s aptly-titled Sweater Weather, a cool-toned taupe nude, on Lopez’s nails, then followed it with a top coat by the brand for a glossy finish. I know “quiet luxury” is on its way out, but if a manicure could be quiet luxury, Lopez’s sweater weather nails would absolutely fit the bill. They just look rich, don’t they? It’s also the logical next step in the milk bath manicure trend that was so prevalent over the summer; it’s a goes-with-everything neutral, but the dusty cool tone gives it an update to match the weather.
