Marie Schott is returning to her roots. Having already held the position of CEO of lingerie retailer Etam between 2011 and 2018. She will be returning to her previous role this autumn, according to the Etam group in a press release.
After leaving Etam, she launched her own brand of women’s underwear in 2019, called AnaShaf. From 2021 to June 2023, she was CEO of French fashion label The Kooples.
Marie Schott, who graduated from HEC, joined the Etam group in 2007 – after five years at Vivarte – to create Undiz, a new underwear brand, which she managed until 2011. That was the year she was appointed head of the flagship brand.
For Laurent Milchior, the group’s managing director, “her entrepreneurial background and expertise in lingerie and retail are major assets in achieving the goals we’ve set ourselves. More than ever, I want us to be bold enough to meet the many challenges we face, and that’s precisely what Marie has shown throughout her career. What’s more, I’m convinced that her most recent experiences have helped to make her an even more seasoned manager.
At the helm of Etam, her tasks will include “strengthening the brand’s creativity and leadership,” while continuing “its digital and international development”. The brand, which recently presented its annual fashion show at Le Palace, operates 660 points of sale, including 420 in France. This summer, it opened its first shop in the United States, in Miami.
