MILAN – Emmy-nominated actress Joey King will be the 19th recipient of the annual WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award.
King is expected at the Max Mara show in Milan on Thursday.
The actress will receive the award, which recognizes impressive acting and producing work, during the 2024 WIF Honors on Oct. 24.
“At Max Mara we are proud and excited to award Joey King as the 2024 WIF Max Mara Face of the Future,” said Maria Giulia Prezioso Maramotti, granddaughter of founder Achille Maramotti and Max Mara Fashion Group board member. “Her talent as an actress, business acumen as a producer, and personal style embodies the values that we have in our DNA and therefore make her the perfect ambassador for Max Mara. It is always a pleasure to partner with Women in Film and to be able to celebrate talented women in the industry. In this case, we are utterly happy to welcome Joey into the Max Mara family.”
The American actress has solidified her career appearing in “The Conjuring,” and in “The Kissing Booth” series on Netflix. In the television space, King is widely known for her portrayal of Gypsy Rose Blanchard in Hulu’s limited series “The Act.” Her performance has earned her SAG Award, Golden Globes, Critic’s Choice and Emmy nominations.

“I am so honored to be named the 2024 WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award recipient. WIF and Max Mara are two organizations I admire greatly,” said King. “Their work to propel women, especially within creative and entertainment industries, is so important. Women in Film does amazing work that highlights so beautifully how powerful women are both behind and in front of the camera in Hollywood. I’ve had such a wonderful experience traveling to Milan to take part in the Max Mara fashion show and have truly had the best experience spending time with their incredible team.”
