“It’s been wonderful and I will miss it terribly, and I will miss you terribly,” she said.
“The only thing I’m good at is singing. I just don’t know when I want to next come on stage but I love you.”
Adele said her decision to do a residency rather than tour was driven by her 11-year-old son Angelo, whom she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki.
“I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal,” she said, adding that she was looking forward to spending her weekends with him again.
The proud mum addressed her son directly adding, “I love you to bits”.
She went on to address her partner, sports agent Rich Paul, thanking him for “always picking me up and making me feel like I could do whatever I want to do”.
“I am emotional but also, just so you know, I got closure when Céline Dion came to my show.
“I cried for a whole week!”
Adele approached Dion in the crowd when the Candian superstar attended a show last month and the pair shared a sweet moment when she kissed the When We Were Young singer’s hands before they whispered to one another.
The interaction took place as Adele walked through her audience to get a closer look at who was in attendance.
The Canadian singer appeared teary as she sat back down in her seat alongside her twin sons Nelson and Eddy, 14.
Returning back to the stage, Adele said to the audience: “Give it up to Ms. Céline Dion,” prompting the All By Myself singer to stand and wave to the crowd.
She said Dion was “one of my favourite people of all time”.
Dion launched her first residency in 2003 at The Colosseum, which was purpose-built for the residency, which lasted for for 717 shows through to December 2007.
She returned to the venue for her second stint in March 2011 and played 424 shows before wrapping it up in June 2019.
Adele then announced her residency in December 2021.
“See you at Caesars in Vegasss ✨,” she wrote on Instagram and posted a residency poster and a photo of herself performing.
It was famously postponed a day before the first concert in January 2022, telling fans in a teary video that “my show ain’t ready” .
“We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID,” she said at the time.
