“Welcome to the world Millie May! ✨💕 your mother and I are so in love with you already!” he wrote.
“Your mum never ceases to amaze me, you are a very lucky little girl to have her and I’m so lucky to have you both in my life.”
The post was quickly flooded with likes and comments from the AFL community.
“❤️❤️ congratulations, she is perfect,” Jess Gawn, wife of Melbourne captain Max, wrote.
“Congrats brother! Amazing,” former captain and now Channel 7 commentator Nathan Jones said.
May has been one of the best defenders in the competition since joining the Demons from Gold Coast at the end of 2018.
He played a key part in the club’s stunning 2021 premiership, earning the first of his two All-Australian blazers that year.
The happy news comes after a disastrous season for the Demons.
After sitting in the top four at Round 11, the Dees plummeted down the ladder to finish 14th and miss the finals for the first time since 2020.
And negative headlines have plagued the club with the ongoing saga surrounding superstar Christian Petracca.
The 2021 Norm Smith medallist is committed to remaining at the club, finally breaking his silence through a media release after weeks of uncertainty.
Kysaiah Pickett is also set to remain at the Dees despite exploring the potential of a trade, but Alex Neal-Bullen has requested a move to Adelaide.
