The collaboration aims to provide students with a temporary stay until they secure permanent housing in their study destination.
The partnership will support students planning to study in countries such as the UK, USA, Australia, Canada and EU countries.
“This [short-term stay] could be in the pre-phase when they are assessing or evaluating universities or even when they finally arrive in the host country and may still be in the process of finalising their permanent housing,” said Amanpreet Bajaj, general manager, Airbnb India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
“Our diverse range of listings can provide a comfortable, home-like environment during this crucial period.”
Leverage Edu will promote targeted informational campaigns on Airbnb’s accommodations for students across its platforms.

“This partnership is a beginning, it represents an opportunity for students to figure out their short-term housing much in advance, seamlessly on our mobile app.”
According to a statement by Leverage, the partnership is expected to benefit approximately 15,000 students who will be using the platform for overseas education over the next year.
