Iconic hotel and lifestyle brand Aman has just unveiled plans to develop its next destination, Aman Beverly Hills.
Consisting of an Aman hotel, private residences and an Aman Club, Aman Beverly Hills “continues the brand’s strategic vision to establish a presence in the world’s greatest urban locations, while maintaining its experience of peace, privacy, design and service,” said Aman’s team.
Conducted in partnership with Cain International and Alagem Capital, Aman Beverly Hills represents the culmination of the One Beverly Hills project, which is being developed at the intersection of Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards on nearly 7 hectares. The construction site, will transform a virgin space, former parking lot for the privileged guests of Hugh Hefner, going to his Playboy Mansion. A piece of history.
Aman Beverly Hills will comprise a 78-suite Aman hotel only, as well as a small number of private residences spread across two residential towers located adjacent to the hotel. With its dedicated 9,300 m2 space featuring extensive wellness facilities, the Aman Club will be the first fully self-contained club in the Aman collection.
Long-time Aman collaborator Kerry Hill Architects (KHA) was chosen to develop the design for the project. Renowned for their original design approach, “KHA developed a coherent narrative for the hotel, club and residences. Reflecting the vibrancy of the city and the unique garden layout of the project, KHA’s design celebrates the urban spirit and creative talent of Los Angeles, while retaining the feeling of absolute sanctuary,” added Aman’s team.
The design features a neutral color palette reminiscent of the hills and nature of California at large. In addition, the project uses natural materials, highlighting stone and wood, to bring warmth to the vast spaces from which guests, owners and club members will enjoy unobstructed views of the city.
Speaking about the project and its inspiration, Vlad Doronin, CEO and owner of the Aman Group, said, “This project builds on the successful opening of Aman New York in 2022, aligned with our strategic vision to bring the unique Aman experience to the world’s most beautiful cities. Capturing the essence of the Aman lifestyle through its minimalist aesthetic, which references Asian design with a touch of European expression, Aman Beverly Hills will be our fifth urban destination after Aman Nai Lert Bangkok (2024) and Aman Miami Beach (2026). We are delighted to be working with partners who understand our vision and mission to create hotels and residences of incredible architectural distinction in the world’s most exceptional locations.”
Groundbreaking for the project took place on site in February, 2024. Aman Beverly Hills is scheduled to open in 2027. It represents one of the most eagerly awaited hotel projects in Beverly Hills, following the cancellation of LVMH’s Cheval Blanc hotel on Rodeo Drive.
