New Delhi: Andre Russell was seen dancing with Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey at the Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) IPL 2024 title-winning party, the video of which went viral on social media. In the video, both Russell and Pandey were shaking their legs on Lutt Putt Gaya from the film Dunki starring KKR co-owner Shahrukh Khan. Russell’s teammate Ramandeeep Singh and KKR head coach Chandrakant Pandit were also seen shaking their legs on the same song.

Ananya, daughter of Bollywood actor Chunki Pandey, has been coming at KKR matches since a decade. She is also one of the closest friends of Shahrukh’s daughter Suhana Khan. In fact, both Ananya and Suhana travelled in almost every match of KKR in IPL 2024 and were one of the major attractions in the stadium besides cricket.

Russell, who win his maiden IPL title, has been one of the vital cogs for KKR over the years. The all-rounder played a big part for franchise in this season too. With the bat, the West Indian scored 222 runs and took 19 wickets in 15 games.

The 36-year-old called KKR’s triumph special. “When you’re a part of this squad, not playing or not involved in the field, but supporting the guys all the way, it’s always a good feeling, but this is a special feeling. In the XI, playing a part in the final, contributing as well through my leadership and everything, it’s an exciting feeling. It’s special,” Russell said on Jio Cinema.

“It’s just me not clearing my front leg too much, standing as still as possible, and waiting as long as possible. Normally, this is my trigger movement, clearing my left leg, so I tried to keep it as still as possible. So, if the bowler bowls wide, I push straight and I have access because I am standing on the off-stump,” the West Indies all-rounder added.
