Nobody loves dressing up to catch a flight more than Angelina Jolie. On numerous occasions, the stylish star has been spotted at the airport in a black tie-worthy outfit. I mean, do you go through the TSA security line in a white gown, luxurious Celine bag, and Christian Louboutin stilettos? The star has perfected the art of elevated travel style—meaning, no cozy sweats or athleisure here. Jolie is simply paparazzi-ready at all times. And earlier this morning at LAX, the actor was spotted in yet another decidedly sophisticated ensemble—right down to her choice of a dressy airport shoe.
De-planning a private jet, Jolie emerged wearing a chic black dress and double-breasted overcoat. Outerwear while traveling is her signature, perhaps to battle the frigid plane air conditioning. But it was her shoes that caught our eye: Jolie slipped into a pair of platform suede sandals, which aren’t an obvious travel go-to. (Imagine trying to run to your gate in sky-high heels.) It’s not the first time Jolie has opted for a skyscraper shoes at the airport: She’s worn pin-thin stilettos many times, though her new block heel style is a little more practical. Then again, when you’re an A-list celebrity, you have private chauffeurs that take you from the car directly to the plane. So why not flex a chic shoe?
