In terms of design, the 2024 Q8 gets new technology to its headlights, re-worked bumper and grille. It gets a large trapezoidal grille with new octagonal apertures and ‘L’ shaped inserts. It also features larger air intakes and the grille surrounds are finished in gloss black with the new Audi 2D logo.
It features new high-intensity LED headlights with HD Matrix LED and a laser as an additional high beam. It also gets LED DRLs with selectable light signatures, and it constitutes 24 LEDs and a high-power laser diode with a blue ambient light telltale incorporated into the headlight unit. It now gets three new paint options and five new alloy wheel designs sized between 21-23 inches.
The rear remains largely unchanged except for a few cosmetic changes. It features digital OLED rear taillights with four selectable light designs that work in coordination with the headlights. Audi says that the taillights turn on automatically when vehicles from behind come within two metres when the vehicle is stationary.
Moving inside, the layout of the dashboard remains the same as before. It gets a few cosmetic updates, new features along with new upholstery options. Features include dual screens for infotainment system and climate control, a digital instrument cluster, an App Store with third-party apps such as Spotify and Amazon Music, a 360-degree camera, connected car tech, four-zone climate control, a head-up display, seat heating, ventilation and massage, Bang & Olufsen premium sound system and much more.
Talking about the powertrain and gearbox, the new Q8 continues to be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Talking about the diesel engines, it gets a 45 TDI powered by a 3.0-litre, turbocharged V6 engine which puts out 231 hp of power and 500Nm of torque. Another diesel engine is the same 3.0-litre, V6 called 50 TDI. Here it puts out 286 hp of power and 600Nm of torque.
Talking about the petrol engine, it gets a 55 TFSI powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 that puts out 340 hp of power and 500Nm of torque. Both Petrol and diesel engines come paired with an 8-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox which sends power to all four wheels.

There’s also a sportier SQ8 which gets a much powerful 4.0-litre V8 which puts out 507 hp of power and 770Nm of torque. It comes paired with an 8-speed tiptronic automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels. The SQ8 also gets a torque vectoring sport differential and electromechanical active roll bars that are powered by a 48-volt supercapacitor.
