Authentic Brands Group (Authentic) has named Lim Mi-Kyoung as its senior vice president and head of Australia and New Zealand.

In this role, Mi-Kyoung will be the first employee of Authentic based in Australia. She will oversee Authentic’s regional expansion by building a team of industry experts, while focusing on brand development and driving long-term growth.

“As our business continues to grow across the region, we are bringing in top talent to usher our brands and open the door to new opportunities to launch new categories and distribution channels,” said Wesley Chu, EVP of APAC at Authentic. 

“Lim brings an extensive track record of driving brand value and building lasting relationships with best-in-class manufacturers and retailers. We are excited about the impact she will have on our portfolio as we unlock the value of our brands in this untapped market.”

With a track record spanning over 25 years in the branded entertainment sector, Mi-Kyoung brings a wealth of experience to her role. Serving in leadership roles at WP Brands, Gaffney Licensing and Hallmark Australia, her expertise includes managing numerous blue-chip brands such as Pokémon, Discovery, Netflix, Cartoon Network, and Warner Bros., among others.

Most recently, she was honored as part of WP Brands’ nomination as a Top Women-Led Brand Licensing Agency by License Global.
