Baby Reindeer, Two Doors Down and Dinosaur lead the way with Bafta Scotland nominations

Baby Reindeer, Dinosaur and Out of Darkness have all received multiple Bafta Scotland nominations ahead of the awards ceremony next month.

The annual event honours creative excellence in broadcasting and production across film and television in Scotland.

Comedy series Dinosaur, starring Ashley Storrie, received the most nominations, including best television actress for Storrie and scripted television show.

Adventure horror thriller Out of Darkness received three nods, while Baby Reindeer, Girl, Is There Anybody Out There? and Two Doors Down each received two nominations.

The winners will be revealed at a star-studded ceremony in Glasgow on Sunday, November 17, hosted by Edith Bowman and livestreamed on BAFTA’s YouTube.

An edited highlights programme will also broadcast on BBC Scotland and BBC iPlayer on Wednesday, November 20.

Richard Gadd and Ashley Storrie are first-time dual BAFTA nominees. Both are nominated for their performances and writing for Baby Reindeer and Dinosaur respectively.

Nominations for the 15 categories were determined through a combination of membership voting and dedicated juries comprised of industry professionals with relevant expertise.

Nominees for the BAFTA Scotland Audience Award (in partnership with Screen Scotland) will be announced on Friday, October 11.

The Audience Award is the only BAFTA Scotland award whose winner is voted for by the public.

Two BAFTA Special Awards will also be presented at the ceremony, with the recipients to be announced next month.
