Balmain salutes its marketing director Txampi Diz

Balmain is losing a key manager. “Txampi Diz, marketing director since 2017, has decided to leave the historic luxury house to pursue other interests,” the company said in a note, without giving further details about his next destination. His replacement has not yet been appointed.

Always a very discreet man, the manager, who has been with Balmain for seventeen years, waited until the end of Paris Fashion Week, during which creative director Olivier Rousteing presented his latest ready-to-wear collection, to announce his departure from the fashion house.

The collaboration between Balmain and Txampi Diz began in 2007, when the label became a client of KCD, the communication agency where he worked, making it one of the company’s main clients. He went on to become vice-president of the agency, overseeing KCD’s Paris office as managing director.

In 2017, having recently been acquired by the Mayoola fund, Balmain reorganised its structure to accelerate its development and created the position of chief marketing officer, recruiting Txampi Diz. Diz left KCD, where he had worked for fifteen years, to join the Parisian fashion house, where he is also in charge of advertising, media relations and digital activities.

“Since my early days at Balmain, Txampi has always been an incredible partner, a strong supporter and, above all, an extraordinary friend,” comments Olivier Rousteing in the press release. Balmain CEO Jean-Jacques Guével agrees: “Txampi has been the ideal partner to work with over the years. We have been able to count on his fresh mind and innovative solutions, and we will all miss him.”
