Beverly Hills 90210 star Ian Ziering breaks silence after shock biker attack

Beverly Hills 90210 star Ian Ziering has spoken out after being involved in a shocking daytime brawl with a group of bike riders in Hollywood.

The altercation unfolded as Ziering’s 12-year-old daughter Mia watched on in horror.

Ziering was driving down Hollywood Boulevard on December 31 when a group of motorised mini-bike riders began weaving in and out of traffic, TMZ reported.

Footage showed Ziering stepping out of his car and having words with one of the bikers.

TMZ reported that one of the bikes might have hit Ziering’s car, prompting him to confront the riders.

After Ziering shoved one of the bikers, an all-out brawl erupted as other riders ran over and began ganging up on him, landing repeated blows as they chased him across a busy road.

No one intervened in the altercation, but Ziering managed to get away from his attackers and comforted his crying daughter after the incident.

“Yesterday, I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of individuals on mini-bikes,” the actor later wrote on Instagram.

“While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders, leading to an unsettling confrontation.

“In an attempt to assess any damage I exited my car.

“This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself.”

Ziering went on to say that he and his daughter were “completely unscathed”, but that the incident had left him “deeply concerned” about groups who “disrupt public safety and space”.

“This situation highlights a larger issue of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behaviour,” he wrote.

“As a citizen and a parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this kind of behaviour, causing fear and chaos, while the response from authorities seems insufficient.

“I have always been an advocate for standing up against intimidation and misconduct, and this incident reinforces my belief in the importance of personal and community safety.

“We must address the underlying issues that lead to such disruptive behaviour and ensure that our streets are safe for everyone.

“I urge city officials and law enforcement to take decisive action against such lawlessness and provide the necessary resources to prevent future occurrences.”

Ziering concluded by thanking his family, fans and friends for their support after the incident.

“It’s in challenging moments like these that the strength and unity of our community are most vital,” he said.

“Happy new year.”

A report has been filed listing Ziering as the victim and police are investigating, but no arrests have been made, TMZ reported.

‘That was intense’

Ziering’s fans were shocked by what had unfolded.

“That was intense! Glad to hear you and your daughter are OK,” one follower wrote.

“Ian, I’m so glad you and your daughter are OK. People have lost their minds! ♥️🙏🏼,” echoed another fan.

“I’m more concerned that no one stepped in and helped you. Just phones filming everywhere 😔,” noted a third.

Another follower agreed.

“It was terribly disturbing to see that not one bystander came to your aid,” the fan wrote.
