Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy leaves fans confused as she joins dad at Grammys | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

While Jay-Z received a legendary honour at the 66th Grammy Awards, his eldest daughter Blue Ivy stole the spotlight with her jaw-dropping look as she joined her dad on stage.

The 12-year-old was all-smiles as she bravely stood in front of the music industry’s biggest names and nervously fiddled with her clutch purse while her dad delivered his acceptance speech, which veered into rant territory.

She was the picture of elegance in a knee-length white princess dress with matching Larroude boots and left her braided hair loose, cascading over her shoulders and down to her waist.

However, Blue’s appearance left fans confused and bewildered as the Grammy winner, who celebrated her 12th birthday less than a month ago, was almost the same height as her dad as they stood side by side on the Crypto.com Arena stage in Los Angeles.

Many took to X, formerly known as Twitter, questioning how old she is with one viewer declaring: “Bro why is blue ivy so tall, she’s still a kid.”

As more disbelief over Blue’s age poured in, a third fan shared a completely different concern writing: “Why do we only hear about blue ivy, doesnt beyonce have other children? Or am I hallucinating?” (sic)

Blue is the eldest of three children between Jay-Z and Beyonce, although her younger siblings Rumi and Sir aren’t in the spotlight nearly as much especially as the preteen joined her mother’s tour last year as a dancer.

Fans across social media fawned over Blue’s jaw-dropping looks at the 2024 Grammys, dubbing her “beautiful” and “gorgeous” as one even claimed: “Blue Ivy is starting to look more like Beyoncé than Beyoncé look like Beyoncé.”

A second agreed, adding: “Blue Ivy is 12 with the poise and grace of a queen. This girl is going places.”

However, a few jokingly took aim at the budding star for “not being impressed by anybody” as she was captured in the background of a few photos throughout the evening looking nonchalant despite standing alongside some of the biggest artists in the world.

This wasn’t the 12-year-old’s first year at the star-studded award show, having won her first golden Gramophone three years ago for her role in Beyonce’s Brown Skin Girl hit.

Her dad proudly bragged about her Grammy win during his acceptance speech for the Dr Dre Global Impact Award.

He started his speech joking: “I used to say this was a sippy cup for Blue,” referring to the gramophone, “but Blue’s grown up now she doesn’t take sippy cups and she has her own Grammy!”

Jay-Z then went on to berate the Recording Academy for snubbing his wife from an Album of the Year nomination but soon returned to an optimistic train of thought as he concluded his speech by reaching out for his daughter’s hand.

He shared: “As my daughter stares at me as nervous as I am, just in life you’ve got to keep showing up. Forget the Grammys, you’ve got to keep showing up until they give you all those accolades you feel you deserve.”
