He had said that Iran needed a full range of “medium-range, long-range, and short-range” missiles.
New Delhi: The relations between Iran and Israel can best be described as explosive, a volcano that is simmering inside, ready to eructate any moment. While Iran is said to be preparing a third attack on Israel, the USA has rushed and stationed air defence systems and troops to protect Israel.
Amidst these developments, the deputy commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force (IRGCASF) has stressed that Iran should reach for longer-range weapons, according to a report from the IRGC-associated Tasnim News.
“With this view, we did not limit the development of missile bases to the geography of the west or south, and we developed these bases to the depth of the country,” Majid Mousavi said.
Majid Mousavi’s statement is construed as vital given his country’s ambitious plans to manufacture even more powerful, effective, longer-range, and economical ballistic and cruise missiles and drones.
Earlier, in 2020, Mousavi said that Iran needed a full range of “medium-range, long-range, and short-range” missiles. It is also understood as the Persian nation’s all-encompassing missile strategy, focusing on more precise and longer-range missiles.
“Almost 13 months have passed since the Al-Aqsa storm operation and the brave action of the Palestinian fighters in Gaza, and we are witnessing the limitless crimes of the Zionist regime, which has carried out the killing of people, genocide, and destructive actions that have no limits,” Mousavi said, as reported by The Jerusalem Post.
Mousavi’s reference was directed at the April 13 and October 1 missile attacks as he underlined using drones and missiles as a potent combination.
It is reported that the Persian state has a huge stockpile of ballistic and cruise missiles which are said to number in thousands with varying ranges.
